DōMatcha®'s Award Winning Organic Green Teas

We are so excited to announce that 3 of our Organic Green Teas have won awards at the 2015 North American Tea Championships!



1st Place - Organic Hojicha

DōMatcha®'s Organic Hojicha uses a proprietary blend of high-quality green tea leaves, pan-fired and slow roasted in the traditional methods in Kyoto. Most Hojicha tea uses lower quality Bancha leaves making for a bitter taste, however, DōMatcha®ʼs Organic Hojicha uses only 100% autumn leaves, offering notes of mesquite and an extremely smooth finish. Hojicha is often drunk after evening meals due to the low caffeine content.


2nd Place - Organic Genmaicha 


DōMatcha®'s Organic Genmaicha uses a proprietary blend of organic genmai (roasted rice), organic Tencha leaves and organic Matcha, creating an extremely smooth tasting, aromatic green tea with a delightfully nutty flavour. Most Genmaicha tea uses lower quality bancha leaves making for a bitter taste. However, DōMatcha®ʼs Organic Genmaicha uses only Tencha, offering sweetness and an extremely smooth finish, enhanced with the powerhouse of Matcha.


3rd Place - Organic Sencha

 

DōMatcha®'s full sun grown Organic Sencha is steamed, rolled and heat dried. This popular, quintessential tea is refreshing on the tongue with a slightly astringent aftertaste. When compared with wines, our Sencha is considered the finest of red table wines; the perfect luxury for every day.
